Caine’s Arcade – Short Film About 9yo’s Cardboard Creations

Watch this. Immediately.

I was so taken by Caine, and everyone in the film. Not just because my son is *also* nine years old and *also* makes crazy things from cardboard – but that here is yet another example of how the internet can do wonderful things for people.

The filmmaker Nirvan is raising money for Caine’s college fund here.

Amazing.

I saw this! I think it is a great testament that kids don’t need fancy toys to learn – they just need their imaginations. Go Caine!

This was doing the rounds in our office today too. First thing I did when I got home was to make Tau watch it. Look what you can do, Tau, with a whole lot of nothing and that wonderful mind of yours!

That kid is a genius! Love this so much.

When my son was much younger, he turned our spare bathroom into a “restaurant,” complete with wall art and menu selections. I still have it like that. I’m totally showing him this video.

This video nearly made me cry, it was so uplifting and full of awesome. I, too, could not wait to go home and show my 10 year old.

Thank you So much for posting this story/video. I happened upon your page after watching a part of a video you did for the Samsung Smart Tv, cause I was curious about how they work, and about who you are. Well Wow I, of course watched the video because your post said “watch immediately” so I was curious. Wow!!
I followed the links a bit and check it out a guy from 8BitDad was at the event. cool story bro.
Longish story short- The video had gone Mega viral, the internet got together for Caine and not only raised like $164K for his college fund but a company has matched that and is putting the money towards other kids creative works. Don’t you just love America. 🙂
Thanks again for posting. I wouldn’t have had as much fun today if you hadn’t. Good luck with your blog and anything else you work on. 🙂
    Sincerely, Mrs. Anna Rounseville
