Trombone Shorty Denver Concert Photos

Trombone Shorty

Note: Trombone Shorty provided concert tickets but all photos and words are mine.

I remember falling in love with Trombone Shorty‘s debut album “Backatown” in 2010 – but he really became a household name around these parts when he performed on Joe King (from The Fray)’s solo album. Shorty’s second album “Say What To This” is just as amazing and I was absolutely thrilled to photograph his Denver show.

Trombone Shorty (real name Troy Andrews) came out full of energy and the entire show stayed at that level. He and the band danced, sang, and of course, played music till the whole room was bouncing. I have said before how much I love photographing at the Ogden Theatre, and this night was no exception.

Trombone Shorty returns to Colorado on June 19th for the Aspen Snowmass Jazz Festival.

Tickets are available now and the event is filled with amazing performers. Well worth a trip up the hill.

Also be sure to check out the Trombone Shorty Foundation which strives to preserve the musical culture of New Orleans.
