Denver likes to adopt bands. Not that we really need to, since we have a robust music scene right here in the Mile High City – but after bands start coming back over and over, we tend to think they are ours too.
This is true for The Unlikely Candidates, technically from Texas, but who have made Colorado somewhat of a second home. When a band does this, they don’t just play Denver – they play all the surrounding cities like Colorado Springs, Boulder and my favorite-city-for-Colorado-music-besides-Denver, Fort Collins.
I’ve mentioned before how we met these guys at Firefly several years ago, and have kept up with them ever since. With good reason, because they put on an incredible live show. Generally loud, rambunctious and sweaty – just like rock and roll concerts should be. They only have a few tour dates listed for this summer right now, but I am sure that will change soon – TUC loves the road.
See you again soon, guys!
