First Day of Preschool

Declan and Lily moved to the preschool at the elementary school today. I was so nervous, and I am not even sure why. Just typical me, I guess. Declan was not phased a bit, of course. (We’ll see how the rest of the week goes). It was wild to see him on the playground with all the big kids. We had to attend with them for the 1/2 day and fill out forms for, yes, the fourth time. And then she was sure to tell us about additional days this year that they will be out of school that were not listed on the calendar they sent home. I think we may need to give Declan an cube at work, since there is no way our vacation time will cover all those damn days that school is closed. Still, I really think we did the right thing and this will be great for him. And if he does end up going to Kindergarten next year, he will surely be more ready for it. (Although – warning, mommy brag ahead – based on what they are supposed to be able to do at the end of the year, Declan and Lily could just go ahead and move up right now).
