Santa By Default

As we were driving in the car this morning, we were listening to Christmas music. Declan said to me, “Mama, do you know who is singing this song?” I listened and said, “I am pretty sure it’s Burl Ives.” And the child who has never even heard of Burl Ives before answered, emphatically, “Nooo, Mama – that’s Santa Claus!”

OK, kid. I’ll buy that.
