And, is it 5 o’clock yet?

To celebrate President’s Day, we brought Declan into the office (school didn’t get our memo about staying open) and it was fun to have him here for about 5 minutes. He’s alternated between having a blast playing with Post-It notes (don’t tell my admin where they all went) and being bored out his mind and whining about all the damn people (usually he comes in with us one the weekends and has the run of the place). Finally I set up an extra MacBook and he is vegetating with Blue, Elmo and Lightning McQueen in the corner of my office. As I am a person who cannot stand to have silence while working (iTunes runs on autopilot every minute of every day), the sound of dancing, singing, animated animals is certainly better than the drivel that comes from a bored and caged animal child. Only about 15 minutes ’till Bryan is out of his meeting and guess what! HIS TURN!

Then maybe I’ll actually get some work done.

My sympathies. Joey and I both tag-teamed today with Monkey Man at his office most of the day and then I got him for about an hour and then for 1.5 grueling hours at the pediatrician’s office.

I need a drink. Want to join me?

My morning started at hdcp #1 with her saying–its President’s Day, I’m not open. Thank goodness hdcp #2 was glad to take both girls. I love that woman. Taking either of the girls to the office is more than I can bear, I might as well stay home and work from here.

I am sooooo lucky that my kids all had school! I wouldn’t know what to do with them. 🙂
