The Rainbow Connection

Here is our next family project for Kindergarten. They are learning about colors (again). I feel like a gay pride parade just exploded in my dining room.

But more importantly, I am stoked over my son’s interest in FONTS! It was totally his idea for the block letters and attempt at cursive, I just coached his way through it.

Ahhh, music to a graphic designer’s ears.

Oh, and don’t you love his complete mastery of how rainbows work? I can’t claim that either. That’s ALL Bing and Bong.

Hasn’t anybody taught him about the pot at the end?

I love Dex’s sun – very cool. You can show him the sun in the painting I just made as a baby gift. The moon and stars above the mermaid are hidden in the photo 🙁

Meg, duh, that’s what all those hearts and stars beads are. Lucky Charms!

Sue!!! That painting is awesome! I absolutely love it! I had no idea you painted!!!

AD, the scooter riding as been awesome! Total fun. Of course, he just scoots, no coasting. That’s advanced maneuvering.

    And thanks Bon!

I like the treasure he put at the end of the rainbow!! My son is destined for block lettering with two engineers for parents. No cursive in our house!

Serifs are perfectly fine in a bold headline! Just need to be the right size and style for the subject matter. I’ll coach him on that too. 😉

I just spit a bean out through my nose. That’s FUNNY!!!!!

Pride is definitely called for… but…

What if, someday (probably as a teenager), he decides he wants to use serifs on a bold headline?

    I’m just sayin’… prepare yourself!
