November Greeblepix Contest
I haven’t even recovered from the weekend and it’s already GREEBLEPIX PHOTO CONTEST WEEK again! And again this month, we have our super awesome prize for the winner!!
The Greeblepix winner will receive a $250 rental from Pro Photo Rental.
TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS! WEEEEE!
That’s a nice hunk of camera rental! AND! They offer free 3-day shipping each way to wherever you are. So it’s like Netflix for camera equipment.
AND! Remember how we couldn’t allow Canadians in the contest last month because of shipping? Well, Jared didn’t want our friends to the north excluded, so YOU’RE IN! The only caveat for you is he needs to include shipping costs in the $250 prize if we have a Canuck winner, OK? So, HOORAY!
AND! One more little extra fun thing! The four runners up will receive a 2009 Greeblemonkey Nature Photo Calendar from me! Photos will be coming from this set on Flickr. I am so close to finished on this thing I can smell it, but it will be ready to debut this week, I promise! I will be selling it in my Etsy store.
AND! Some people have asked if these contests have a theme. For the most part I want to keep it open to your imagination, but seeing as Thanksgiving *is* my most favorite holiday in the whole wide world, having the idea of “Grateful” in this month’s entries would be kinda cool.

1. All levels of photographers are welcome. Encouraged, even. Everyone, everyone, everyone is welcome.
2. Except! No family members of Greeblemonkey are eligible.
3. You must be the photographer of the photo you submit and have clearance for any people in the photos.
4. One photo/entry per person per month.
5. Winner from last month, please take a month off.
6. Photo can be taken specifically for the contest, or in the past. Just one of your photographs that you are particularly loving right now!
7. United States and Canadian photographers only.
8. No anonymous entries.
9. Photos must be submitted below by 10pm Mountain time, Tuesday November 18th, 2008 to be considered.

PHASE ONE (Monday thru Tuesday night):
1. Select your entry photo.
2. Post your pic on your blog, or on Flickr.
3. Use this badge in your post, if you like. (Right click and pull down to “Save Image As” to grab the badge).
4. Add the URL of your photo to Mr. Linky below to enter the contest.
5. The deadline for entries is 10pm Mountain time, Tuesday November 18th, 2008.

Mine is from a mess my son made back in September. I am grateful to be able to stay home with him. I am grateful at his sense of color use in this mess! And I am mostly grateful that I did not blow my top when I saw it. It reminded me that time goes fast and to not let the little things get to me!
Mine too is from Halloween, but who isn’t thankful for Halloween?
okay, so this might bend the rules a bit, but I added a pic from my blog that my nine year old took. It’s beautiful and was done entirely by herself. She messed with my camera settings. She directed water flow from the hose and she futzed with it with photoshop. I think it is amazing and wish I could as an adult say I took it. It’s entitles “Dreams” and the themes was “Wow” and I was certainly wowed bu her. Although I might be a bit biased, eh?

there is so much to be thankful for always. but i find that it is best to always remember the simplest of things because they often bring me the most joy.
Laura, I totally agree! I will just be driving home and enjoying the window open and a song – and it hits me the most. Or, of course, playing with my son or laughing with my husband. This is why I so love Thanksgiving!!! Oh, and the FOOD! 😉

Yeah, so mine is from Halloween…which I’m GRATEFUL for because I adore Halloween and frankly I adore that picture I entered.
just added my entry… it’s a chosen pumpkin, i figure the pumpkin would have been thankful to be going to a good home. I’m not sure however, if the pumpkin knew it would later be carved and made into a pie.

My photo was submitted because I was thankful I got to finally meet one of my best friend’s daughter, Caitlin, for the first time. I had a blast playing with her and I just feel so blessed by friendships this month.

This picture was me lying in the dirt below all the kids on the ground in Uganda, Africa. They all crowded around and wouldn’t stop laughing and wiggling. It was so fun to be under that.
