Clearly I think my boys are hilarious.
Maybe the conversation at dinner the other night proves me wrong, though.
[Transcribed from my iPhone recorder]:Declan: Why did the chicken cross the road?
Bryan: I don’t know.
Declan: To get to the other side!
Declan: Why did the chicken cross the playground?
Bryan: I don’t know.
Declan: To get to the other slide!
Bryan: Wait! I have one. Why did the mouse cross the road?
Declan: I don’t know.
Bryan: Because he was stapled to the chicken.
Bryan: Oh! Oh! I have another!
Bryan: Two guys walk into a bar. Which is kinda silly. Cause you figure when the first guy hit it, the second guy would have seen it.
Declan: I don’t get that at all. That is so not funny. And I don’t even go to bars!
Declan: Oh! IIIIIIII just made up a new one. Why did the chicken cross the road?
Bryan: I don’t know.
Declan: To get away from the dead chicken that was actually beef laying there rotting on the street.
Bryan: [Silence] Ummm….
Yeah, we’re looking into therapy.

I’d like to prescribe 30 hours of Monty Python and a vegan diet for a week. Some great humor chops there, but he’s obviously crying out for guidance. 😉
