Cabin Fever & The Kind of Morning We Had

I am guessing by now you heard that we’ve been snowed in for two days. Things have been a little… let’s say… tense around the Greeblehouse. And when I say tense, I mean we have all been snapping at each other like a 100 alligators ready for some fresh meat. Yum.

And the drive in this morning, after we finally dropped The Most Annoying Boy In All of Colorado(TM) off at school, and had a moment to ourselves, we just looked at each other and started laughing. That maniacal laugh of two people who have been cooped up with a kid who asks a million questions, bores easily, and has no one to play with. BUT US.

And we were late for work, still needed to pick up food for the office Halloween potluck (notice here how I dressed like Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas), drop the dog at daycare AND I kinda forgot to eat breakfast in the chaos of early morning scrabble after being home two days.

So we pulled through Burger King Drive Thru. And if you have even been to a restaurant with me, you know I always order like some *other * famous Sally from some *other* famous movie.

I pushed Bryan right over the edge to stark raving mad. And when he gets that high on the Lunatic Threat Level Scale, he gets very very very funny.

So here is Bryan’s imitation of me, as I placed my order at Burger King this morning. (Be warned, NSFW)

Which promptly scared the crap out of the dog, making me laugh even harder. Which made Bryan say this, making me laugh even harderer.

Oh yes.

TGIF.

Um, wait. That means the kid is with us again for two whole days?

Fuck.

Hahahaha! Yes, being cooped up together for any length of time will bring out the best in all of us. That’s why we’re all in therapy after almost 2 years of it. Kidding. Kinda. 🙂

No school yesterday or today. For the most part they can keep themselves entertained, but I have been known to tell them to find something else to do in a room I’m not in.

    Like kittens… Heh.

You know, normally the people you work with seem so awesome. But the fact that they didn’t get your costumes makes me feel sad and lose faith in them.

OK seriously? I’ve been a tad gripped by panic over the amount of snow you guys are getting. And yes, our kiddo also is, um, very intense in cabin fever type environments.

Hope you guys are surviving the weekend! -Christine
