Thank you all for the good thoughts, and for sharing the stories about your own parents. Makes me think we’re all in the same boat here. Getting old sucks all the way around, huh?
The good news is my mom came through her surgery well, is sitting up today, and trying to eat. Key word: trying – but that’s all she needs to do. In my opinion, anyway. After open heart surgery???
I mean, she started coming out of it around 2am last night, and this morning she slurred these words to me: “I feel like shit, kid.”
COME ON! That is SOOOOO AWESOME! MY MOM ROCKS!
And so does some new music. Here are our winners.
