Gratitude

It’s been a rough few years. I have talked about it here, and you all have been so supportive, and I can’t tell you how much it has helped me, emotionally.

But someone took it upon themselves to help us, financially.

An anonymous letter arrived the other day with a red envelope and an one hundred dollar bill.

No idea who sent it.

I almost don’t want to know, except to say THANK YOU.

I have always believed in the kindness of strangers, but to hold it in your hand is a different thing entirely.

I appreciate every person I have met (and not met) through this blog. I have always looked at it as a form of self-expression, but over the years it has become so much more. The people I have learned about, learned from – have made my life so much better.

I promise to pay this gift forward to someone else as soon as we are able.

For now, I thank you for making our holidays easier and our hearts full.
