We all love Instagram, right?
But sometimes it gets to be kind of a mess.
And honestly, the people who hashtag like a mofo drive me a little crazy.
To be clear. The people who hashtag with SPAM drive me crazy. Using tags like #50likes when they have none. Or #sunset when it’s a photo of a building.
I *love* hashtagging with purpose and common sense because it helps find photographers with similar styles and tastes. Not to mention – IMO – the most important, and often overlooked point of hashtagging – finding your own photos again.
I almost always hashtag the people in my photos, usually with their Twitter or Instragram handle, and I also have some specific tags, just for me.
My best example: #greeblefaves … I used the site Webstagram to pull ’em up to show ya.
Obviously these are some of my favorite photos, and this tag makes it easier for me pull them up when I need to find them.
How else do you use hashtags to your advantage?
