Muse, Thirty Seconds To Mars + PVRIS at Red Rocks: Another Stellar Lineup
This year at Red Rocks has to be the one for well-matched trios of bands playing together. In September, Muse returned to Denver’s favorite venue after a 10-year absence with a very, very, very sold-out show that also included Thirty Seconds To Mars and PVRIS. I had never seen Jared Leto and his bandmates in action before, and they were a sight to behold. But more importantly, I was super impressed with his voice. Another lovely voice that night was Lynn Gunn of PVRIS (pronounced Paris – I know, I don’t get it either). While the crowd was definitely there for the other bands, those guys definitely held their own.
I had seen Muse once before – in a bigger production set – but they aptly scaled their high-intensity lights and graphics for the comparatively smaller stage at Red Rocks. And just like Thirty Seconds to Mars, Muse sounded incredible.
