Black Pumas at Mission Ballroom - Denver Concert Photos

Black Pumas at Mission Ballroom

I feel so lucky we were able to see Black Pumas at Mission Ballroom here in Denver, because right after their stop here, they cancelled or rescheduled their next seven shows “due to situations beyond [their] control.” I never heard what the situations were, but I hope everyone is in good health.

Black Pumas certainly seemed in fine health when we saw them – and they put on just as an explosive show in 2021 as they did in 2018 at Grandoozy. Probably more so because they were the headliners now and the crowd was PUMPED to see them.

Singer Eric Burton was out on the floor with fans several times, while guitarist Adrian Quesada held down the stage. AEG just started vaccination requirements that week – so the mostly unmasked but (hooray!) vaxxed crowd was ready to left off some steam after a super hot summer with very little live music.

Black Pumas resume their tour in August, hit some festivals and finish out the year in Europe. Can’t wait for them to come back to Denver and give us another go too.
