The last time I saw the band Bleachers (which is essentially Jack Antonoff), he played at the Bluebird and it was 2015. I have waited (impatiently) for new music and a new tour since then. He graced us with both this year – at a MUCH larger venue, the Mission Ballroom in RiNo. The New Jersey native has worked with a zillion people in recent years, so not only does he influence us with Bleachers – he has helped craft a ton of terrific music.
Still, Jack obviously loves performing live and he was pretty much a fireball all over the stage, all night long. While Bleachers is really his stage name, there was terrific interaction between him and his talented band and they kept the crowd dancing all night. He also is a very relatable guy and had fun bantering with the crowd while getting back to the business of live music.
If you haven’t listened yet (huh?), be sure to check out 2021’s Take The Sadness Out of Saturday Night.
