One of my favorite Denver bands is Wildermiss. However, I have a feeling they won’t strictly be considered a “Denver” band much longer because I keep watching them do amazing things. I know I’ve said similar things about them in the past, but we’ve all been a little hindered lately, right? Even through the pandemic, they did some really cool things – but HOORAY – it was REALLY COOL to finally see them in person again at the Gothic at the end of 2021.
Singer Emma Cole has one of those voices that is both powerful and fragile at the same time. The way she delivers songs keeps up that same vibe. Add Joshua Hester on guitar and Caleb Thoemke on drums, and you have a full-on rock show still pushing the major indie cred.
Wildermiss has a Patreon with various levels of support, so be sure to check out that intimate access. They also have over a dozen new songs ready for 2022. Here’s hoping that will translate to more shows here in their hometown too.
