Dodie at Denver’s Ogden Theater

I am getting to the age where I find out about some artists from my kid. Such was the case with Dodie, several years ago, when she blew up on YouTube. Of course, if you are reading this, you probably know who she is now, along with the full-capacity crowd at the Ogden here in Denver recently.

Dodie’s “debut” album, Build A Problem, was released in May 2021, after three self-produced EPs. Her concert felt like the albums sprung to life, literally. As she entered the Ogden, she seemed a bit in awe, “I am not sure what I expected, but there are a lot of you here!” At times Dodie was flitting around the stage and laughing with happiness to be playing.  Then she got emotional as she sang with that angelic voice. Then she picked up her ukulele to strum for us, then she pounded on her piano.

Seeing her live made me completely understand the legions of online fans, and I look forward to her next visit to Denver.
