Shaky Knees Music Festival – Day 3 Photos

Shaky Knees Music Festival – Day 3 Photos

I always feel a bit sad when concluding festival posts, because that means it’s truly over. I have repeated said how much I enjoyed attending Shaky Knees and I look forward to hopefully returning in future years (bringing our Denver crew with me!?). Because not only was the lineup stellar – and has been for years – but the next one is their 10th anniversary, so I bet it will be a whole lot of extra awesome.

Shaky Knees day three included headliner My Morning Jacket, whose song “Steam Engine” provided the name of the festival. It was another day of running around, catching every band I could, and not being able to photograph everyone I wanted to. I did especially enjoy the sets from COIN and Band of Horses – both of whom are headed to Denver this summer.

It had threatened rain for the final day, but no one was having it. There was a bit of defiance in the air, like WE ARE BACK. I know Shaky Knees was able to have their 2021 fest in late fall, but this weekend felt like a return to normalcy. I heard people talking about it everywhere. Music, and most especially live music, really has a healing power.

Many thanks to Shaky Knees for putting on the party to start a summer of rejuvenation.
