Note: This is a partnership with Breckenridge Brewery but all photos and thoughts are my own.
When Breckenridge Brewery reached out for me to try their Juice Drop Hazy IPA, I chuckled a little bit. I am almost exclusively a light beer gal, especially in the heat of the summer – but then I thought of my husband, Bryan, who likes everything. We moved here in 1994, and Breck Brew had opened their downtown location just before that – so, duh, we were familiar with the brand. Location-wise they are now in Littleton (and of course, Breckenridge) but you can get their beers just about everywhere. Not just Colorado!
A huge box arrived with lots of goodies, including Breckenridge Brewery swag and cans of Juice Drop. We had a lovely tasting in our own backyard and I admit, even me, Miss Picky, liked it alot. (Bryan loved it). They are not kidding with that Juice name.
What Makes Juice Drop Different?
According to Breckenridge Brewery: “In addition to a tangerine-citrus hop profile, we dropped in an experimental hop known as HBC 472 in each iteration. This exciting new variety – resulting from open pollination of a wild American hop – intensifies the tropical hop layers without adding to the hop bitterness and is responsible for a distinct coconut like characteristic.” I just know I liked it better than I do most IPAs. There are several flavors, so I guess I need to grab a variety pack and try them all!
Win Concert Tickets From Breckenridge Brewery
Another reason I am excited to collaborate with Breckenridge Brewery? They often support and sponsor local music and festivals. Even better, follow their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to win concert tickets all summer long. Cheers to that!
