Huge Photo Gallery from WMS 2022 – Westword Music Showcase Denver

What a wild ride this year’s WMS was! I was honored to be a partner again and host the Larimer Lounge stage on Friday night of the festival. Our locals line-up was incredible: Immigrant’s Child, The Crooked Rugs, Endless Nameless, Elektric Animals, Neon The Bishop and Pink Fuzz. DJ Alf emceed the stage for us and I had a photo gallery of my concert photography spanning the past decade or so. Sure, the weather turned on us Friday night, but sometimes bumps in the road can make things more memorable and fun.

Saturday at Westword Music Showcase was an adventure too. But that 50 degree drop in temperature and drizzling rain all day didn’t stop everyone from celebrating the end of summer. Sadly, Kennyhoopla and Wet Leg could not make it to WMS at the last minute, but somewhat miraculously, Jukebox The Ghost and X Ambassadors were able to step in – and pull off incredible sets. I loved seeing Cannons for the first time, as well as Saint Motel and The Flaming Lips again.

The Street Stage was presented by MCA Denver and curated by the legendary Roux Black, who has always elevated and supported Denver’s hip hop scene. Over on the Native Roots stage, more locals like Don Chicharron and Holdfast brought the mood up – and then N3PTUNE hit the stage with incredible musical theater vibes.

I was, per usual, all over the place trying to catch the fun which resulted in the ginormous gallery of photos below. I am already looking forward to next year’s Showcase – although, I will put my request in for a sunny day now. ☀️
