Hometown For The Holidays Top Ten 2022 from KTCL Channel 93.3

Wow – 2022 was a crazy year! Tons of concerts and lots of new music. We did the official Hometown For The Holidays listening party back at The Oriental, and I was yet again so impressed with the talent from our local musicians.

The Top Ten artists (see below) were announced during Channel 93.3’s Not So Silent Night (with headliner The 1975 and last year’s HTFTH winner Neon The Bishop). I am also proud to call several of them friends and look forward to getting to know the new (to me) faces. It’s going to be another very competitive year for sure. On a personal note, I have to admit I am rooting for five-time Top Ten band One Flew West to finally catch the crown in 2022.

However, sometimes, with all this joy, there can be loss. Longtime KTCL DJ who ran the Locals Only show and HTFTH contests since its inception has decided to retire from the station. Alf Kremer has been a selfless advocate for the Denver music scene and while he’s not actually going anywhere locationally, his presence will be missed on Channel 93.3 and in future Hometown For The Holidays. Huge thanks to you Alf!

The top ten bands are in rotation on air at Channel 93.3 now and then “Music Nerds” vote for the winners. The top three bands will play Saturday, December 17th at the Oriental, along with national band The Driver Era, who has Denver ties. The song-contest winner will be announced that night and it’s a FREE show, so get down there early and enjoy our Denver music scene – as well as the holiday season!
