KTCL Channel 93.3’s Big Gig 2015 Concert Photos

I often say that Nerf and KTCL Channel 93.3 have an uncanny ability to put together a stellar concert lineup and 2015's Big Gig was no exception (click here to see band interviews). AWOLnation, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Banks, New Politics, Atlas Genius, Saint…

Concert Photos: KTCL’s Keggs & Eggs 2015

My pals at KTCL Channel 93.3 know how to throw a party. So much so that it took me more than a month to recover and finally edit the photos from this year's Keggs & Eggs. If you have never attended, this concert extravaganza starts…
Best of 2014 Concert Photos Denver

My 40 Best Concert Photos from Denver 2014

This past year was amazing for music and concert photography in Denver. We are lucky to be one of those "crossroads" kind of towns, so we end up in the path of many tours... but also, as I say all the time: Denver has a GREAT music scene. So, my round up of best photographs includes bands from all over as well as Colorado, in pretty much every venue Denver has to offer. Thanks to all the cool people who have helped me, encouraged me and rocked my world musically this year. Here are my 40 favorite concert photos of 2014, in no particular order.

Best Songs of 2013

Note: This post is not sponsored or linked to sales sites in any way.  All year long, I have been adding to my favorite songs of 2013 playlist, and it ended up being triple the size of last year's list - over 160 songs total. I love indie and alternative the most, but pop, rock, R&B, soul, funk - you name it - everything is represented. What a great year for music, with a nice Christmas surprise from Beyoncé. (Seriously - watch the videos. They are masterpieces.) I have had a tremendous time photographing bands, and listening to new tunes. Who says the music industry is dead? It is just getting started.
Young The Giant performs at the Bud Light Party in Denver

Interview with Young The Giant for #BudLightParty

You guys! I was lucky enough to chat with Francois Comtois, drummer for Young The Giant, ahead of their appearance at Denver's convention stop on the Bud Light Party tour. We only had a few minutes, but he was super nice as we talked about their new album Home of the Strange and working with Bud Light. Bud Light Party Convention Tour - Denver 2016 If you aren't sure what the "Bud Light Party" is, exactly - they have been throwing FREE concerts all over the country with all kinds of bands and artists to highlight diversity and fun during this crazy election season. It's not about politics, it's about getting together with your pals and caucusing for a good time. Rules to win tickets differ by city but check out the site to get yours (21+ only). In Denver, we were lucky enough to have The Strumbellas and Young The Giant perform at the Fillmore Auditorium, with art installations, photo booths and lots of free Bud Light. All while seeing two great bands most of us would absolutely have paid to see. Thanks Bud Light!
Top Twitter In Denver, Colorado

Top Twitter People in Denver & Colorado

Everyone is posting their first-tweet and who-followed-them-first in celebration of Twitter's 8th birthday. Mine was a very benign "what is this thing about" type of comment in 2007, mainly to follow all the people I knew in Denver who had joined. All these years later I have found so many real (and imaginary) friends via Twitter, here in Colorado and around the world.

And Let The Tween Drama Begin

Hi. I am ticked. What's new. There is this thing that Declan wanted to join. It is a school thing, but not really. It's before and after school and the kids involved are supposed to get in groups of two or three kids.We were a little…
