Betty Who at Summit Music Hall Denver

I have been fascinated by Betty Who’s voice for years. She is described as a pop synth artist and that fits, but there is also a haunting quality there too. Given that, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a Betty Who concert. This lady came barrelling out like a 6’2″ (and I thought I was tall) stunning goddess, with striking pink hair, a flappy dress with several super hot dancers behind her.

They. did. not. stop. all. night.

She felt like a mixture of your best friend with her sweet smiles and a fierce warrior who could rip someone’s head off if they wronged her.

I dug it.

Sure, there were backing tracks to support her through all that dancing but the full package was a night of FUN, all capitals. Her new album is self-titled Betty and it’s also fun. Can’t wait for her to come back to Denver for another go-round.
