Don Broco at Gothic Theatre Denver
Don Broco hit the Gothic Theatre in Denver this fall and wasted no time turning the room into a full-body experience. From the floor to the balcony, it felt packed, with phones up, arms in the air, and everyone leaning toward the stage.
At one point, Rob Damiani was fully in the crowd – not just reaching out, but down in it, singing directly to fans while they held him up and tried to capture the moment on their screens. It’s the kind of interaction that only really works in a venue like the Gothic, where the line between stage and audience can disappear quickly. The band kept everything moving. Damiani bounced, pointed, and pulled the crowd along, while the rest of the band locked into a tight, driving set behind him.
Lighting played a big role in the feel of the night – bold washes of red, purple, and blue, with horizontal light bars behind the band adding structure without taking attention away from the performance.
There’s a looseness to how they perform, but nothing feels accidental. Even the bigger, louder moments with Damiani mid-jump, hair flying, or belting out a line with the lights blowing out behind him feel intentional, like they know exactly how far to push things without losing control.
Looking out over the crowd, it was clear Denver showed up for them. The floor stayed dense (including some great moshing) the balcony lined with people watching closely, and the energy never really dipped.
Don Broco at the Gothic Theatre didn’t rely on production or distance. It was physical, loud, and right up against the crowd… exactly the kind of show that works best in a room like this.
