Ivory Circle at Larimer Lounge – Outdoor Patio Show
Ivory Circle has long been one of my favorite local bands. Not only is the music lovely, but Connie Hong’s voice is just angelic. Bonus: they are all very nice people. So I jumped at the chance to attend their first post-pandemic show, which was held in the new extended back patio at Larimer Lounge. I love how Larimer is adding mid-afternoon shows back there, a perfect way to spend a hazy summer day – emphasis on hazy, given our terrible air quality this summer.
Still, Connie was a trooper singing through the smoke and treated us to a variety of songs from their catalog. The band also features Rob Spradling on drums, as well as co-founder Chris Beeble on guitar. If that last name sounds familiar, he has also been busy producing a ton of music in recent years.
Ivory Circle will next be appearing at the newly extended 2-day Westword Music Showcase on September 17th (night one) – which is the free night of the festival. Check out the details; come out and support local music. Or, enjoy Ivory Circle on Spotify from the comfort of your home!
