Moby Releases New Album and Announces Major 2026 European Tour
Moby has released his 23rd studio album, Future Quiet, available now via BMG. Alongside the album, he has shared the track “Mott St 1992” and announced an extensive European tour for summer 2026, marking his largest run across the continent in more than a decade.
The 28-date tour includes several landmark UK and Ireland performances that sold out within 24 hours, including On The Beach Festival in Brighton on July 26, the Old Royal Naval College in London on August 15, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art Kilmainham in Dublin on August 21.
The European dates follow Moby’s return to the stage at Coachella on April 10 and April 17. From late June through August, the tour will span major festivals and historic venues across Denmark, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Georgia, Ireland, Bulgaria, and more.
The announcement builds on momentum from seven sold-out European dates in 2024 that received strong reviews across the UK press. Notably, 100 percent of profits from those shows were donated to European animal rights organizations, continuing Moby’s longstanding commitment to activism and philanthropy.
Future Quiet features fourteen tracks centered on piano-driven minimalism, ambient soundscapes, and select vocal collaborations. The album reflects on the contrast between constant digital noise and the human need for stillness. Moby describes the record as intentionally restrained, explaining that as the world becomes louder and more chaotic, he increasingly values quiet as a refuge, and hopes listeners will find the same in the new music.
The album opens with a new orchestral version of “When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die,” featuring Jacob Lusk of Gabriels. Originally released in 1995 on Everything Is Wrong, the song recently gained renewed global attention after being featured in the Netflix series Stranger Things. It has since become Moby’s most streamed track and introduced his work to a new generation of listeners. The reimagined version is expected to be a centerpiece of the 2026 live performances. Additional collaborators on the album include Elise Serenelle, India Carney, and serpentwithfeet.
