Twenty One Pilots & MisterWives - Denver Concert Photos

Twenty One Pilots and MisterWives at Pepsi Center Denver

I don’t think anyone would argue with me that Twenty One Pilots are one of the best bands to see live (see my past posts). They proved it yet again at Denver’s Pepsi Center, with a huge production that included a flaming car and other massive pyrotechnics. But it’s more than flashiness for this band, there is a ton of substance there too – as evidenced by the immense crowd knowing the words to every single song. It’s always fun as a photographer to feel the wall of the sound from both the band *and* the fans. Truly, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are consummate performers and talented musicians.

Opener MisterWives is always high energy, with lead singer Mandy Lee bouncing back and forth across the huge stage to keep everyone engaged. These guys return to Denver at the Gothic next week, so we get a double-treat of them this year.

Twenty One Pilots released Trench in 2018 and have been touring steadily ever since. Looks like they will continue that trend with some festivals in 2020 already scheduled. The band has confirmed they are working on a new album as well, which will continue the story, so hopefully we’ll see tons more from this duo very soon.
