Denver Botanic Gardens Announces 2026 Holiday Light Shows
Denver Botanic Gardens is bringing back both of its major holiday light displays for 2026, giving Colorado families two very different ways to celebrate the season. (I know, I can’t believe it’s that tome of year already either!)
Blossoms of Light
Blossoms of Light opens November 20 at the Gardens’ York Street location. The annual Denver tradition fills the winter gardens with colorful light displays and immersive installations, using energy-efficient LED lights throughout the experience.
Blossoms of Light runs from 4:30 to 9 p.m., with the grounds cleared at 9:45 p.m. The event continues through January 10 and will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
A sensory-friendly evening is planned for Tuesday, December 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. This special night offers a quieter and more accommodating version of the experience for visitors with sensory sensitivities.
Trail of Lights
Trail of Lights opens November 21 at Chatfield Farms in Littleton. The event follows an illuminated path through the Colorado countryside, with new lights and displays added for 2026. Visitors can also warm up by the fire pits, listen to holiday music and purchase s’mores along the way.
Trail of Lights runs from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with the grounds cleared at 9:15 p.m., through January 3. It will be closed on several select nights, including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, so checking the official calendar before choosing a date is important.
Ticket Sales
Member ticket presales begin November 4, with dates staggered by membership level. Public ticket sales open Monday, November 9, at 10 a.m.
Both events use plan-ahead pricing, so prices vary based on the selected date and expected demand. Denver Botanic Gardens recommends purchasing tickets in advance and warns visitors to buy only through its official website.
