Joywave and KOPPS at Globe Hall Denver
I listened to Joywave’s album How Do You Feel Now? non-stop for the better part of 2015 and loved it when they opened for Young The Giant this past summer. Everyone at Globe Hall must have been there too because when lead singer Daniel Armbruster asked if we remembered their last show in Denver, a distinct scream went up: RED. ROCKS.
The band had two sold out shows last week, with the second night falling on a pretty big snow storm that knocked out power at the venue. Everyone I knew who was at that show was excited when Joywave carried on acoustically – but I must admit I was thrilled to see them headline their own show, with full sound and lights.
Sasha Sloan (who I missed photos of, sorry) and KOPPS opened the show, with Armbruster joining on stage for a short while too.
Check out Joywave’s cool text-based website and find out if they have a show near you soon. They have dates into the summer all over the States. Don’t miss em.
