Red Hot Chili Peppers Photos From Denver
The first time I ever saw Red Hot Chili Peppers live was Lollapalooza 1992. I don’t remember much else about that day besides the Chili Peppers, and how good they were live. I’ve seen them several times since – including their 2012 stop that we brought our then 10 year old son to. But I had never photographed them, so when I got to do so at their recent return to the Pepsi Center (after an illness delay), it was a definite bucket list item. To do so on Flea’s birthday was extra special.
The guys still had their intensity but I loved how they also used technology to amplify it. I didn’t get a sense of what the candle-like lights were doing until I saw my friend Jenny’s video from the back.
Speaking of Lollapalooza, the Chili Peppers’ next three shows are for Lollapalooza in South America. Anyone up for it???
