Tori Amos at Red Rocks
As if she needed an introduction, Tori Amos is an influential American singer-songwriter and pianist known for her distinctive blend of piano-driven alt pop rock and emotional lyrics. I can attest to that, because she made me cry more than once when she played Red Rocks this year. With a career spanning several decades, she has earned a devoted following – and we all were there under the monoliths singing along. Amos is renowned for her her powerful vocals and virtuosic piano skills. While most of the show was mainly just that – her and her piano – it was by no means boring.
Unbelievably, this was my first time seeing Tori Amos in concert, and it was definitely another bucket list night (in a year of bucket list nights). I have often mentioned how we photograph the first three songs, and when she started off with “God,” (full setlist below), I about lost my mind.
Tori has finished touring for the year, but check out her latest – 2021’s Ocean To Ocean – which is quite a beautiful album.
