YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch: New Yurt Village + Fall Activities
Recently, we headed up the hill from Denver to check out the new “yurt village” at YMCA’s Snow Mountain Ranch. Sometimes we Denverites forget how much beauty is so close to us, just a quick drive away.
The yurts are a great option for families that want to camp, but still have some luxuries… you know – like electricity and beds. Each yurt can sleep up to 6 people, with one queen bed and two bunked beds.
And! You can bring your dog. Something I will definitely keep in mind for next time.
We loved our little home away from home. It was a great way for us to experience everything Snow Mountain Ranch has to offer in an informal (yet still easy) way.
We made friends with the llamas.
We roasted marshmallows.
We hitched a ride on a wagon.
We shot arrows at things.
We lept into the air.
We hugged on animals.
We climbed up stuff.
We played games.
But mostly, we got to just hang around each other.
And relax.
Snow Mountain Ranch is the kind of place that makes memories.
I’m continually amazed that we live so close to places like this.
