Elyse Therose & The MSSNG at Larimer Lounge

It’s no secret how much I love our Denver music scene. Being so busy, though, it’s made it hard to get out to as many local shows as I would like. When my friends Elyse Therose and The MSSNG were playing together at Larimer Lounge, I made sure to save the date.

The MSSNG opened the show with their distinct 80s-90s dark wave sound, and as you can see by the photos below, even the very young fans were enthralled. Their name is pronounced “The Missing” because cleverly, all the vowels are missing from their name. They are a bunch of really nice guys as well as good musicians – and I am huge fan of their branding/merch too.

Elyse Therose is an alternative rock project by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Erin Elyse Jeffreys. She also has that synthy-new wave sound that still sounds so modern. Her voice is gorgeous, which makes her live shows terrific. Erin’s recorded music is on repeat for me quite often, and I am excited about the new single “So Perfect,” – which was released just yesterday! We met several years ago and I’ve been trying to photograph a show ever since. I am so glad it finally worked out.

Be sure to follow both Elyse Therose and The MSSG on socials to catch their next shows – it’s well worth it, I promise!
