Hometown For The Holidays Top Ten 2020 from KTCL Channel 93.3
It’s officially the holidays, because we have our Top Ten bands for the Denver Hometown for the Holidays contest. Sure, 2020 has been crazy so it’s affected everything, including HTFTH – but it’s pretty much the only event that KTCL Channel 93.3 has been able to run with any sense of normalcy.
We did the listening party via zoom this week, which in some ways was great because it was super fast – and it was terrific to hear so many bands submit given all the challenges of COVID times. As ever, DJ Alf tabulated the scores but instead of announcing during the Not So Silent Night concert (which had to be cancelled), Miles the Broncos mascot provided a special video of the list.
These bands will start in rotation on air next week and then “Music Nerds” will vote for the winners. Sadly, there will be no HTFTH concert this year, but we’re all hoping that things get to a point that next year can come back with a roar. In the meantime, check out the awesome crew below. Yay local music!
