In The Whale Final Show at The Oriental Denver
For at over fifteen years, In The Whale has been a force of nature in the Colorado music scene. Formed in Fort Collins by Nate Valdez and Eric Riley, these guys have always done things their own way. Known for their explosive two-piece sound, blending alternative, punk, and hard rock, this duo achieved significant milestones: national festivals/tours, label support, charting EPs, and gritty DIY touring.
In 2025, they decided it was time to call it quits. No drama. Just time to try other things. They played their final shows up and down the Front Range and we are all very sad to see them go. I have featured this band too many times to count, not just because they are great, but because they are also friends.
Lucky for us, they have reformed in a new band with a new sound. Graveyard Choir in playing at Skylark Lounge on August 8th and I can’t wait to check out the new direction. Love you guys! In The Whale sucks forever.
