Glass Animals at Red Rocks
Glass Animals, an indie-pop band from Oxford, England, has taken the music world by storm with their infectious beats and dreamy soundscapes. Formed in 2010 by childhood friends Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer, and Joe Seaward, the band quickly made waves with their unique blend of psychedelic pop, indie rock, and electronic music.
Their 2020 album, Dreamland, was an intimate, reflective album largely created by frontman Dave Bayley during the pandemic. “Heat Waves,” a standout track, exploded on TikTok and climbed the charts worldwide, giving the band their biggest hit to date.
In live performances, Glass Animals bring a level of energy that has earned them a reputation as a must-see act. Their concerts are known for dazzling visuals, vibrant stage setups (please note the full spaceship control deck below!), and Bayley’s charismatic stage presence — he’s constantly engaging with the crowd, often diving into the audience or balancing on stage structures. At our Red Rocks show, Dave came out and sang in the middle of the crowd, which was such a treat.
Glass Animals is especially good at engaging their fans, on and off the stage. The rollout for their latest album, I Love You So F***ing Much, was filled with easter eggs and fan events. I just love when bands are really thoughtful like that.
Whether they’re playing at major festivals, big stages like Red Rocks, or smaller, intimate venues, Glass Animals make each performance an experience. They’re not just a band; they’re architects of soundscapes that transport fans to a different world. If you’re lucky enough to catch them live, prepare for an unforgettable night filled with shimmering lights, hypnotic beats, and a communal vibe that makes everyone feel part of the Glass Animals’ family.
