I first discovered the band Little Image at Shaky Knees 2022, and I have been watching for a Denver date ever since. The guys graced us with an intimate (but completely packed) show at Larimer Lounge that ranks up there as one of my faves of the year.

Opener Levi Evans got the room going, and I was able to meet him after his set. He was super nice and his music suited the Little Image show perfectly. (He clearly did not want to mention who his famous father is – but this Gen Xer knew immediately.)

The photos below mostly feature Little Image’s lead singer Jackson Simmons, primarily due to available light in the club, but all members (including Brandon Walters on bass/synth and Troy Bruner on drums) are very musically talented. They switched around on instruments, sometimes mid-song, and basically just owned the stage.

The band’s breakout single “OUT OF MY MIND” is well-known here in Denver thanks to KTCL Channel 93.3 – who the band made sure to shout out during the show (and DJ Smitty was in attendance to hear it). Their debut full length album, Self Titled, came out this year and is full of gems that sound fantastic live. I will admit I felt guilty photographing along with the song “BALLET,” due to the lyrics, “I don’t like the way I that look, I won’t want to look at pictures you took.” 😳
