New Music Sunday

It seems like I have been using the weekends lately to post music I am into, and it’s kind of a perfect, mellow time to do it, no?

So, I am not sure where I found this lady, but iTunes is pushing her bigtime right now, so you may have heard of her. I love how she is a mix of Amy Winehouse (yes, she’s gross but I still love her music) and Alison Moyet.

I can’t stop listening. The whole album is wonderful.

Here is ADELE (yes, OK, the all caps thing is kind of annoying) performing “Chasing Pavements.”

I wish I could go with you Aimee. 😉

You know I love her- thanks for the suggestion cuz she’s on constant repeat since I downloaded the album. I like how she has a bluesy/jazzy feel too.

Oooh. I like her sound. And she looks like a real woman — not a caricature of a real woman a la Amy (the Wino, not you). Good choice.

She also sounds a little like Johnette Napolitano. Thanks! I love finding new people to listen to.

i’ve loved her since i first heard “hometown glory” a few months ago. it’s a rare day when my daughter & i aren’t singing along to “chasing pavements.”

i love that she’s so real & so happy to be real. i read a great quote from her that said “i’ll lose weight when it affects my health or my sex life, and so far it doesn’t.” woo hoo!
