The New Pornographers - Denver Concert Photos & Review

The New Pornographers at Gothic Theatre Denver

It seems like the year for seeing bands I never managed over the years. Case in point, the recent New Pornographers show at the Gothic here in Denver. The band are more of an indie rock supergroup and are known for their infectious melodies, intricate harmonies, and clever songwriting. Formed in Vancouver in 1997, the band brings together a diverse group of talented musicians, including prominent members Carl Newman and Neko Case.

The New Pornographers also bring their music to life on stage with infectious energy, showcasing their musicianship and the connection they share as a band. Their concert was a celebration of indie rock’s diversity, blending genres and emotions.

They released Continue as a Guest this year and played several songs from that, as well as a mix of songs that long-time fans appreciated. While there was very little chatter from the band, there was lots of great sound. Neko’s voice is beautifully distinctive and blends so well with Carl and the rest of the band. The whole effect is a mix of pop, rock and a whole lot of heart.

The New Pornographers continue their tour into November here in the States, so hopefully you can still catch them this year.
