Our Religion Involves Multiple Zzzzzzz
We haven’t been sleeping enough lately. No, no – the night terrors are not back… it’s just been so damn busy! Work is crazed, we have three major web sites launching around Labor Day. THREE. And on top of that, summer is just jam packed with fun things to do. Last night Bryan worked till after midnight and I fell asleep waiting for him, with Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince perched on my chest. (And that’s a HEAVY book, yo.)
Waking up this morning was rough.
Alarm: Screech! Screech! Screech!
Bryan: [Wobbles up groggily to sitting position and rubs head as if he was waking up from a 24 hour drinking binge, except this time, the funny part is he was waking up from working on our binge drinking prevention web site]
Aimee: [Groggily rubbing Bryan’s back] … Someday we’ll sleep.
Bryan: flnsflm rt;lzsdkjbdfgmlghj lkmdfbh’h (i.e. I have no effing clue what he said).
Aimee: OK, we’ll sleep when we’re dead, then.
Bryan: It. Will. Be. Heaven.
That *does* sound like heaven!
You poor things. And I bitch about an eight hour day…
(thanks for stopping by!)
“it will be heaven”
i just spied boxes in the office with the new harry potter in them…
YOU LUCKY GUSS!!!!
I’ve given up on the dream of 8 hours and I’m going for 6.5. Some day. Some glorious day.
Sleeeeeeeeeeep. I would love some sleeeeppp tooo!
I am all over those British poppy jazzy rocky bands. Bring it! See, that’s why I was hoping you were lobbying in DC!
I am proud to say I am the #1 listener of Aztec Camera on iLike.
This in no way responds to your post.
I noticed your little music ticker over on the right. You listen to Level 42? And Azetc Camera? Oh my goodness. When can we go out for a drink?
You are DIVINE!!
Here’s a funny story about the new Harry Potter book. Apparently the district library (located here in my building) got a few advance copies. I walked in yesterday and the librarians were all huddled over their copies, reading them as quickly as possible so they could get them out to schools!
Will we really ever sleep again or will we come into peri menopause and be up for the next 10 years?
