Souls Unite Benefit Concert For Denver & Lakewood Victims

A concert was held to benefit the victims and families of the Denver/Lakewood shootings at the Oriental Theater recently. Musical acts included In The Whale, Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts, Lola Black, White Fudge, Grind Cat Grind and Sin On Six. I was honored to photograph the event, which was filled with love, music, and most especially – reverence for those we lost that day. In addition to all those bands playing, there was silent auction to help raise money for the family crowdfunding campaigns and the Colorado Healing Fund.

I had never met the victims, but it’s been so overwhelming to see how many friends we had in common all over Denver. It was also wonderful to see those friends coming together to support others in need.

Music truly is one of the best unifying forces and thanks to the Oriental, these bands, and everyone who came out for reminding us of that.
