Stone Cottage Sessions - April 2021 Schedule

Stone Cottage Sessions: April Lineup to Support Boulder Community

I love that one good thing to come out of 2020 is the rise of virtual events. Sure, I will always be up for an in-person show, but there is something to be said about tuning in to an intimate format while wearing your pajamas. Stone Cottage Studios have taken a bit of a hiatus due to our crazy Colorado weather and the tragic events in Boulder this month, but I am very excited to see a packed schedule for April.

Purchase tickets for any of these livestream sessions here. Many are also supporting the Colorado Healing Fund with their performance.

What is Stone Cottage Studios?

Founded and launched in May 2019 in Boulder, Colorado, the Stone Cottage Studios is a Music Discovery Platform in support and promotion of local and visiting musicians. Composed of musicians, songwriters, audio engineers and filmmakers, the Stone Cottage team is passionate about music and provide pro audio recording and cinematic video production in an authentic, unique and inspirational studio setting. Best known for The Stone Cottage Sessions, an interview-based live studio session, the team at Stone Cottage allows artists to tell their stories, connect with fans, and play their music, while filming the performances and recording pro-level audio.

April Livestream Schedule

Dr. Ross - Stone Cottage Sessions - April 2021 Schedule
April 3**
Dr. Ross supporting Project Freedom Ride
Ross Henderson (aka Dr. Ross) will be gracing the stage to bring support and awareness to the organization with his sweet serenades that first gained international attention, including that of celebrities Thomas Rhett and Ashton Kutcher, after a video of him singing to a frightened dog before surgery went viral. This created opportunities that led to him to star in a new Animal Planet series Hanging with the Hendersons. During the live stream concert, Dr. Ross will be performing 10-12 original songs via looping, with multi-instrumentation including acoustic guitar, piano, electric guitar, and both lead and harmony vocals.

April 8**
Brad Corrigan supporting Love Light & Melody

Brad Corrigan, of Dispatch, along with his friend and collaborator Tim Snyder on violin, will perform on April 8th. Joining them will be Jonny Branch, playing guitar and adding his vocals to the mix. The group is looking forward to giving viewers an opportunity to get their minds off COVID, enjoy some live music, and raise awareness and funds for their partners Conscious Alliance and Love, Light + Melody, non-profit organization dedicated to battling physical, emotional and spiritual effects of extreme poverty.

April 9**
Hunter Stone sponsored by Mesa

On April 2, the songwriter is slated to release Portraits of the New/Old West, Vol. 1, the first volume of a collection of vignettes inspired by the West, past and present. Hunter Stone is heavily involved in the local music scene, from co-founding a monthly songwriting showcase to teaching lessons to fellow musicians. Stone’s signature slide playing has earned him notoriety in the Colorado music scene and has made him sought after as a lead guitarist.

April 10**
Andy Sydow supporting Nature Conservancy

The livestream will coincide with the release of Andy Sydow’s new EP Time. Love. Everywhere. Andy will be joined on occasion by Sister Neapolitan, an all female folk trio out of Denver, on harmony. Andy will bringing his single “Mona Lisas Everywhere” to life alongside the rest of his EP, set to release April 9th.

April 17
High Lonesome supporting Bird Conservancy of The Rockies

Chuck Sitero will be joined by Tyler Rennix on lead guitar, John Chilton on mandolin, Brandt Miller on banjo, and Matt Thomas on bass. High Lonesome has a couple tricks and special guests up their sleeves, helping them bring their version of traditional and hard-driving bluegrass, centered around impeccable picking and tight vocal harmonies, to fans’ eyes and ears. In support of the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Chuck and the rest of High Lonesome will bring their high-energy jams and melodical originals directly to viewers’ screens, thanks to sponsors River & Woods, and the efforts of Stone Cottage Studios.

April 29
Brendan James supporting Conscious Alliance

Troubadour and pianist Brendan James on will perform on April 29. After several months off the mic, James and his trio will reunite for a special virtual show. James will pull music from his entire catalogue as well as from his latest release, Leap Taken. The majority of James’ recent work was written overseas while Brendan traveled the world with his wife and children. His music commonly takes cues from artists like Maggie Rogers, Sam Smith, and Adele. (See photos I took of him at Denver’s Soiled Dove in 2012.)
