The Rocket Summer – Denver Show at Summit Music Hall
One thing I love about working with music PR companies is I get to see bands I might not otherwise go see. Except, I actually have seen The Rocket Summer before, with Monika, last winter, at least for a few minutes. I like them, or more specifically him, Bryce Avary… but his music in general really isn’t my style.
However, there is no denying the dude is talented. In addition, he released a new album this week – and he has also clearly grown as a musician. There is a definite depth there, in terms of style and melody that I did not hear before.
But I also learned last night how fun he is to photograph. And how he has boundless energy.
This probably will rank up there as one of my favorite shows, ever, to have photographed.
