Good Friends + Maroon 5 = Great Fun
It’s been a Sandra-full weekend! We did lots of running around town, shopping and making her watch baseball – all culminated with a visit to the Fillmore for the Maroon 5 show last night.

The Hives opened the show – and let me tell you, those boys from Sweden are NUTS. Totally hilarious, self-deprecating and FUN. They were rocking out like nobody’s business and that lead singer kid has definitely been studying Mick Jagger for his moves.

Then Maroon 5 came out. And I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive after their nauseating performance on American Idol last season, and some crappy videos on YouTube that I have seen since then where Adam Levine’s voice sounds like – well – vomit left over from the AI performance.
But they delivered! And surprised me by playing really well too. I just always think of them as a fun pop band, but they can actually play their instruments! And Adam’s voice sounded great. And he was hot as hell. I can’t figure out if he is gay, bi or straight – or what – but don’t really care because gay, bi or straight men can be all hot, too. And. he. was. hot.
They played all the hits, sucked wind like most bands do when they come to Denver, and we three girls got fairly close to the front and danced our bootays off.
And they even played my most favorite Maroon 5 song – Sunday Morning. A perfect pop song, in my opinion.
Yes, a great way to end a weekend with good friends.

hahaa! Yes, the Hives were nuts. yes he totally does the Jagger dance! That is only the second time that I’ve fallen for an opening act (first was the Pixies).
I was thrilled that they played Secret because, well, there are some lines in that song that just make me go poof! I lurves me some Adam. sigh. I did some school girl squeeing on my blog after seeing them as well.
My source for gossip says that Levine was the cause for the divorce.
And that he is a huge slut.

Levine slept with Jessica Simpson not long after her divorce. That might have turned him gay – more likely celibate at least the pencillin kicked in.
I saw the Hives a couple years ago – they were the headlining band. One of the best shows EVAR! TONS of energy and I really think they played almost every song they’ve recorded.
Now I am crying. You are the 2nd blog-friend this week that got to see Maroon 5!

Gasp! I love Maroon 5! Seriously! I’m seeing them next Thursday and I can’t wait! Glad to hear you enjoyed them. I think they’re amazing live. 🙂
And Adam is totally hot and definitely straight, although he wasn’t as friendly as the other guys when I met them at a couple of their fan club meet and greets.
