Tonight, we eat cake, or die!

Yes, it’s finally here. The night of Eddie Izzard. The night where I plan fall in love all over again, with a short transvestite from England. Kerri Anne did it. Shoes & Pie did it. Now it’s MY TURN too.

If you haven’t ever seen one of his live shows, there are about 6 kojillion on Netflix and YOU MUST RENT THEM ALL. Bryan and I have. Even better, we are freaks of such extreme magnitude, that we sat there and watched the one with the DVD extras where Eddie did the whole damn thing in French. With subtitles.

And of course, of course, of course, you KNEW I was not going to pass up the opportunity to show my two absolute, most favorite, most fricking hilarious clips from the whole of YouTube YET AGAIN on this blog.

May I present? Death Star Canteen… AND! Cake or Death.

In Legos.

Maybe South Carolina needs to take some lessons from Church of England?

P.S. Fully expect some over-Twittering from me tonight.

I saw him in Seattle a couple weeks ago. I didn’t blog it though so you had no idea!

Sizz, maybe we did talk about it in San Fran cause it’s ringing a bell. But hmmm. There was some alcohol involved at that point so i can;t be sure!

I saw him last Friday night and he was beyond fabulous.

I don’t want to give away anything, but I do recommend loading the lightsaber application on your iPhone and then entertaining your friends/seat companions before the show. I know your coolness factor is already enormous, but this little stunt will confirm your coolness forever.

Have a fantastic time and be sure to pee before the show as there’s no intermission and you don’t want to miss a word.

I need to thank you for introducing me to Eddie (yeah, I live under a rock.) Cake or death has become a saying in our house.

You’ll have to let us know all about it.

Argh, so envious! It’s been too long since Eddie was down here in EnZed!

But he did feature as the voice of a very brave mouse in Prince Caspian (which we saw on Sunday) – there’s no mistaking that voice of his.

  14. Andrew

    Eddie rules.

Everyone in my office now thinks I’m crazy because I just watched the Cake or Death video and laughed so hard I cried. Good, good stuff.

I’m so jealous. I love the Izzard. Half of my conversation with my husband is peppered with Izzardisms, “Cake or death?” “Hoocha hoocha hoocha, Lobster,” “Hello Swindon!” and my personal favorite, “Oh, you’re a plumber. What on earth is that?” Hope it was a blast.
