Allen Stone at Bluebird Theater Denver

The last time I saw Allen Stone perform, he was in 100 degree Denver heat at Chipotle’s Cultivate Festival. The weather was a little different when he returned this month, but the show was just as awesome, if not even more so. I first fell in love with Allen Stone’s self-titled album in 2011, but many of the songs from 2015’s Radius have been on repeat – especially “Guardian Angel.”

That song (especially) pretty much encompasses Allen Stone for me. Raw, sensitive, soulful. The same things that he brings to his performance, with the rest of his crew. Allen and opener Bernhoft had all of us swaying, singing along and stomping our feet.

Allen Stone takes his tour to Europe in the spring but hopefully he’ll be back in the U.S. and Colorado very soon.
