Every year the Denver Post throws a huge music party on South Broadway called the Underground Music Festival (UMS), and it takes almost a month to recover. 400+ bands, mostly local, at 20+ venues is probably more than a "party" - but when you see…
We have been lucky at Red Rocks this summer; most nights have been breezy and warm. If it rained, it was light or happened earlier than showtime. The Tour de Compadres was no exception, and we were treated to gorgeous music with a crescent moon…
Yet another concert featuring one of my all-time bands, whom I had never seen live. Culture Club has reunited and mounted an American tour (that I am pretending in my head was just for my benefit). Sadly, drummer Jon Moss had a back injury, forcing…
Recently I was honored to speak for my first time at the annual BlogHer conference. I participated in the Geek Bar, which focused on technology and, personally, I focused on getting blogs and web sites mobile-ready in light of the recent changes Google made regarding…

I know. GROAN. Hashtags are so ANNOYING. But they can be really valuable! Especially when you have a limited budget for your event - they are a great tool to make the most of social media. I have worked with clients to run events from small…

The show itself is always awesome - chock full of a huge variety of local bands during the day and national headliners who play into the night. For me, it's one of my very favorite days of summer because you hear so much music, as well as discover new bands you have wanted to see for a while.
There is no way to get around to everything, so check out the lineup from 2015's WMS. Below are bands I was able to photograph, all of whom were amazing.
(DJ Alf agrees).
