Boy George and Culture Club: Denver Concert Photos
Yet another concert featuring one of my all-time bands, whom I had never seen live. Culture Club has reunited and mounted an American tour (that I am pretending in my head was just for my benefit). Sadly, drummer Jon Moss had a back injury, forcing him to miss the Denver date. Cheeky as ever, Boy George quipped, “It was nothing I did, I promise!”
The guys went on without their drummer, but with a solid backup band that really made everything sound huge – even as they were performing in the huge field that is Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield. The location only made for a great summer vibe and the whole place was dancing all night. Even a little rain didn’t stop the fun.
I loved the mix of new songs with old classics and Boy George’s voice did not disappoint. Culture Club wraps up this weekend in Florida, with a few more dates so far in the fall. Be sure to catch them if you can!

I never was a really big fan back then but over time grew to appreciate them and kinda wish I had gone to the show, especially after seeing these photos!
