Bleachers concert photos & review - Denver Red Rocks

Bleachers at Red Rocks

If you’re on the hunt for a band that brings infectious energy and heartfelt lyrics, look no further than Bleachers. Formed in 2014 by Jack Antonoff, who you might recognize from the bands Fun and Steel Train. More recently, he has been a close friend and producer for none other than Taylor Swift.

But Bleachers is a powerhouse on their own. Four albums in and no signs of stopping. Such a talented guy.

Seeing Bleachers live is an experience you won’t forget. Antonoff’s stage presence is electric, and he has a way of connecting with the crowd that makes even the largest venues feel intimate. From the first note to the last encore, a Bleachers concert is a rollercoaster (haha) of emotions and spunk. I have been lucky enough to see them at our tiny Bluebird Theater and The Mission – but of course, nothing compares to Red Rocks.

One highlight of their live shows is the sing-along anthems. Tracks like “I Wanna Get Better” turn the audience into a choir, with everyone shouting the lyrics in unison. And let’s not forget the epic saxophone solos that add an extra layer of fun to the performance.

It’s also clear that Jack puts as much thought into the visual aspect of his music as he does into the sound. I loved the checkered floor at Red Rocks that reminded me of their retro-but-still-modern sound.

If you haven’t yet dived into the world of Bleachers, now’s the perfect time. They will be on the festival circuit this summer all around the world, so be sure to catch them!
